As a mother of three young boys herself, Gwen Stefani is likely well attuned to recognising when a child is in need of some great emotional support.

And on Wednesday night, when the singer learned a young fan in the crowd at her Florida show had suffered at the hands of bullies for five years, she didn't hesitate in getting him up on stage.

After triumphantly holding both his arms in the air, the blonde beauty hugged the emotional fan, taking a moment to share some quiet words with him under the glare of the bright stage lights.

The stunning 46-year-old, who is currently touring her new album, read out a sign that was held by the boy's mother in the audience, stating: 'My son was bullied from first to fifth grade.
'He would come home every day upset, but he'd go to his room, listen to your music and smile.'

Throwing the homemade placard to one side the Hollaback Girl hi-maker then called for the boy to 'get up here right now, right now' to the delight of the crowd who cheered as the lad was lifted up onto the stage.
