She is a critically acclaimed actress who has also devoted herself to working with the United Nations.

And now Angelina Jolie's ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton, has revealed he often had feelings of inadequacy during their passionate, yet short-lived married.

'I never felt good enough for her,' Billy, 61, told GQ Magazine.

The feelings of inadquecy stemmed from their vastly different lifestyles, as Billy preferred being a homebody whereas Angelina was often travelling around the world for her humanitarian causes. But Billy says that the real trouble during their marriage lied in his discomfort at attending high-end parties thrown by the likes of George Lucas.  But his lack of etiquette knowledge isn't something he's ashamed of.

'I like how I am,' he insists. Billy and Angelina married in 2000 after first meeting as co-stars in the 1999 film Pushing Tin. They officially divorced three years following their marriage.

The actor remarried over a decade after their divorce to Connie Angland, who gave birth to daughter Bella in 2004. She is wife number six for the actor, who expressed annoyance at that figure. 'I didn't want her to be called number six. You know?'  Billy and Angelina have remained in touch, with the actor revealing he gets to chat with her every so often.

He still has two tattoos of her name, although one them has now been covered up by an angel. 'See, it's just resting there,' he said. 'You can still see the name.' Following the end of the couple's three year marriage, Angelina would go on to tie the knot with Brad Pitt, who she is now in the middle of divorcing.
