As you might already know, one of Pink Floyd's greatest live moments took place back in 1971 when the boys traveled to Italy to perform at the ancient Roman amphitheater in Pompeii.

With zero people in the audience, the boys captured an amazing live moment that was officially released in September 1972. And now, 45 years later, guitarist David Gilmour is returning to the scene of the crime. Pompeii Culture Minister Dario Franceschini noted: "Deal reached. After 45 years David Gilmour will come back to play in Pompeii on July 7 and 8." The shows will be a part of the world tour in support of the man's latest solo album, last year's "Rattle That Lock." The trek will commence on March 24 in LA, and continue across the States and Europe, culminating with a four-night performance at London's Royal Albert Hall in late September.
