Red Hot Chilli Peppers have posted a photo in the studio with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich.

It was previously reported that the US band have teamed up with Danger Mouse for their new record, the follow-up to 2011's 'I'm With You', but now drummer Chad Smith has suggested that the LP will be mixed by Godrich. "Started mixing the new record today! @nigelgod at the helm," Smith recently posted on Twitter. See that picture beneath.
Godrich is widely-known as the "sixth member" of Radiohead and is also a member of Atoms For Peace along with Thom Yorke and Red Hot Chilli Peppers' Flea. Red Hot Chili Peppers recently announced a series of tour dates and festival appearances booked for the summer. Among those dates is a headline slot at Reading and Leeds Festival 2016. They will also headline T In The Park and have also been rumoured as headliners for this year's Lollapalooza. The group's bassist Flea recently said that the band are "heading into a new era" as they finish work on their new album.
"We’re near the end of it," Flea told Q. "Danger Mouse is producing this time, instead of Rick Rubin. We’re heading into a new era and we’re really excited." Asked how the album is sounding, he added: "It’s new and different but without sacrificing the good bits of us. There are some songs we already had, and some new ones too. I can’t wait to play it live."
