Renowned actor and noted aviation lover, John Travolta, has made the decision to donate his personal Boeing 707 to an aviation museum in regional New South Wales.

The plane was originally owned by Frank Sinatra and is from the 1965 Qantas fleet. It will undergo maintenance at the actor's home before he flies it personally to its new home in Albion Park.
Travolta announced in a press release on May 27 that he would be donating the craft to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS). In the statement the actor said he was grateful to have had the time he spent with the craft and that he had no doubts HARS would complete the work required to keep the craft in top condition.
Travolta had the plane painted in 2002 when he was made an ambassador for Qantas. The plane was restored to its original Qantas livery, the colours it still sports today.
