Several weeks back, we applauded Kristen Stewart for her transformation from American franchise star to cool Parisienne. In the span of several years, the young Stewart has traded vampires for a history-making César Award, collaborations with Olivier Assayas, and a rumored relationship with the French singer SoKo. The plot to this last point thickens, however, as an interview SoKo did last year is rediscovered.

In the interview with A Music Blog, Yea?, SoKo nonchalantly revealed how she was set up with Robert Pattinson, Stewart’s former real-life and Twilight love interest, in a bizarre twist of fate. During the course of the conversation, SoKo described how she was planning on moving from Seattle to New York until a dream inspired her to move to Los Angeles instead. Speaking of her impromptu move, and the romantic triangulation, SoKo said:

Yeah, it was the best thing ever! Three nights in, I went out and met a girl who was like ‘Hey, I like your music, I work for a label and we would love to sign you. Where are you staying, do you need a place to stay?’ and I was like ‘Yeah I do.’ That same night I had a blind date with Robert Pattinson!

Explaining her sense for adventure, SoKo also said, “I’m Scorpio, very stubborn, passionate, craving for adventures all the time.”

In a more recent interview with W, SoKo seemed to confirm her relationship with Stewart, with whom she has been photographed on multiple occasions, as recently as on Easter. In a conversation about receiving racy messages from strangers, SoKo told the magazine that she is not tempted to stray from her current relationship, explaining, “I’m very, very, very in love and very happy in a relationship, so I don’t have that urge.”

Stewart has previously refused to define her sexuality, explaining, “If you feel you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it,” the actress told Nylon magazine in 2015. “But I am an actress, man. I live in the f--king ambiguity of this life and I love it. I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!’ No, I do a job.”
