New court documents suggest Johnny Depp's managers may have known that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor had allegedly assaulted his now-ex-wife, Amber Heard.

The documents allege that Depp's management knew that he was "extremely volatile" and had "sometimes 'gotten physical'" with Heard. Not only that, but they say that they had direct knowledge of a 2014 incident during which he "violently kicked" the actress.
During their divorce, Heard released text messages that she had exchanged with Depp's assistant in which the assistant apologized for the actor's shocking behavior. Depp vehemently denied that the texts, which also alluded to the 2014 kicking encounter, were real and the newly released documents allege he "pressured and berated his assistant to falsely challenge the texts publicly."
