He joins a long line of top names digging deep to help the thousands of evacuees in Texas and Louisiana created by the catastrophic storm.

From Sandra Bullock to the Kardashian clan, The Rock and Chris Brown, a string of names have put their money where their mouth is for the American Red Cross and other charities.
Leo’s foundation donated the $1m to the United Way Harvey Recovery Fund, which United Way set up on Wednesday, pledging to distribute 100 percent of donations for recovery in the affected areas, community by community, in the months and years ahead.
Leo’s donation was the inaugural donation to the new charity.
United Way Worldwide President and CEO Brian Gallagher said: ‘We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Leonardo DiCaprio and his foundation.
‘Responding to Hurricane Harvey requires the best of all of us – and that’s what this gift represents. United Way’s Harvey Recovery Fund will provide much-needed help for the communities along the Gulf Coast where lives have been changed forever.’
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian announced her family are donating $500,000 (£387k) to the Hurricane Harvey relief fund earlier this week.
In a series of tweets posted on Tuesday night, Kim spoke of her heartbreak at the devastating effect as she revealed she, her mum and her sisters will collectively be donating half a million dollars to help the charities assisting those affected.
