Actress Ellen Page has secretly married her girlfriend of six months, Emma Portner.

The star of X-Men posted a photo of the couple's matching wedding bands on social media to announce the news.
"Can't believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife," she wrote of Portner, who is a dancer and contemporary jazz teacher, and has performed and choreographed routines for Justin Bieber.
Page, who has also starred in Inception and was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Juno, received a standing ovation for coming out in an emotional speech at a Human Rights Campaign event in 2014.
In 2017, she revealed the trauma of film producer Brett Ratner "outing"' her as a lesbian on the set of X-Men: The Last Stand when she was 18.
In a lengthy Facebook post in November, she wrote: "He looked at a woman standing next to me, ten years my senior, pointed to me and said, 'You should f... her to make her realize she's gay'. I was a young adult who had not yet come out to myself."
"I knew I was gay, but did not know, so to speak. I felt violated when this happened. He "outed" me with no regard for my well-being, an act we all recognize as homophobic," she continued.
"This public, aggressive outing left me with long standing feelings of shame, one of the most destructive results of homophobia."
Kiwi actress Anna Paquin, who starred alongside Page in the X-Men franchise, says she witnessed Ratner's sexual misconduct first-hand.
"I was there when that comment was made. I stand with you," Paquin wrote on Twitter.
