Like everything else in her life (her dogs' private mini-mansion, her inheritance to the Hilton Hotels fortune...), Paris Hilton's engagement was nothing short of extravagant, and obviously that includes her epic engagement ring—all 20 carats of it.

Hilton's now fiancé, actor Chris Zylka, popped the question in Aspen, Colorado this weekend when the two were posing for a photos on the slopes. Zylka got down on one knee to reveal a massive 20-carat pear-shaped ring, which diamond expert and celebrity jeweler Michael Greene said is to be worth a whopping $2 million.
“Paris at one point in time told Chris she really loved her mother’s pear-shaped diamond, and when Chris came to me that was his request,” Greene told PEOPLE of the megawatt rock. “The pear-shaped really jumped out for him and ultimately for her. He did some fishing, but in the end it was all him. He’s a smart guy, and hangs out a lot with the family, and I think she realized how much she liked her mom’s ring.”
“He wanted it before Aspen, because if the opportunity was there, which it was, he wanted to ask Paris in Aspen,” Greene said. “When he came to pick it up and opened up the box he literally started shaking. He said, ‘I can’t stop shaking.’ It was like taking a good size man and bringing him down to a boy size giggle. He’s a super nice guy.”
The 20-carat center stone is set on a platinum split shank halo band, holding another two carats of diamonds. The 36-year-old heiress posted photos of the romantic moment and her enormous sparkler to Instagram today to share the exciting news.
