The 90th Academy Awards will air live on ABC on March 4, 2018. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC also set dates for the 91st, 92nd and 93rd Oscars presentations: February 24, 2019, February 23, 2020, and February 28, 2021, respectively.

Nominations for the upcoming Oscars will be announced January 23, 2018.

The news comes as Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr reported that this year’s Oscar show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd are near a deal to return for the 2018 show, which could get extra bells and whistles as its the Oscars’ 90th year. This year’s host Jimmy Kimmel is also the first choice to return.

This year’s 89th Oscar ceremony — the first under the Academy’s new multi-year deal with longtime network home ABC — drew 32.9 million viewers with a 9.1 rating among adults 18-49, a nine-year low for viewership. Those AWOL viewers missed out on a crazy finish, of course, when the wrong Best Picture winner was announced and chaos ensued.

The March date for the 2018 Oscars is not unusual: the Academy does it every four years to avoid the Winter Olympics, which in 2018 conclude on Sunday, February 25.
