Ryan Reynolds will produce a parody on "Home Alone".

After the second movie in his hit action comedy franchise "Deadpool", Ryan Reynolds hopes to liven up the laughs with a new project that will stage the favorite Christmas movie "Home Alone" for every adult.
Reynolds is connected to produce "Stoned Alone," a version of the well-known story in which a twenty-year-old marijuana enthusiast misses the plane for his vacation ski outing. As Deadline reports, he makes the most of a bad situation by getting high. But when paranoia sets in and he believes burglars break into his house, he must do his best to thwart the would-be criminals. If real thieves turn out to be real, he'll have to test his high-brain to defend his home.
For those unfamiliar, the film is a clear parody on "Home Alone," in which a young Macaulay Culkin starred as Kevin McAllister. After getting lost in the crap of his extra-large family trying to get to the airport for a vacation, Kevin finds himself alone at home, thinking that his desire to leave his difficult family has come true. When "The Wet Bandits", played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, try to rob his house, he relies on a series of childlike traps to thwart them.
Fox develops "Stoned Alone", directed by Augustine Frizzell. The script was written by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows, who wrote the upcoming Netflix comedy "The Package" about a teenager who inadvertently cuts his penis during a camping trip, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Reynolds produces via his Maximum Effort banner with George Dewey Executive Producer.
