Iron Man has completed a very special new mission! Robert Downey Jr. helped make a few fans' dreams come true on Tuesday with a stop at a British children's hospital.

The "Avengers" star took time away from promoting his upcoming film "Captain America: Civil War" in London to drop by the Great Ormond Street Hospital on Tuesday.

Robert posed for multiple photos with the delighted patients – some of whom were dressed in costume for the occasion.

A big thank you to Robert Downey Jr for taking time out from promoting his new film Captain America: Civil War to visit our patients on Lion, Giraffe and Elephant wards this week! Everyone (patients and staff alike!) was very excited. We’re very grateful to Disney for organising such a superstar visit.

The facility shared the sweet pics on its Facebook page, and thanked Disney "for organizing such a superstar visit" from the actor.

"Everyone (patients and staff alike!) was very excited," the post read.

Robert's new pals included 5-year-old Chloe, 1-year-old  Batman fan Charlie, and "mini Iron Man" Ethan, who showed off his festive garb while striking his best superhero move.

The 51-year-old isn't the only A-lister to give back for the kids.

Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Robert's fellow Avenger Chris Evans, Taylor Swift, Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato, and the cast of the upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot have all paid visits to children's hospitals in the past year.
