It’s been seven whole years since the final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 hit screens but fans can’t – won’t – let go of the beloved world.

So when Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton uploaded a snap with Daniel Radcliffe on Instagram, Potterheads swarmed. Can’t blame them to be honest. The black-and-white picture features a grinning pair with their arms around each other and appears to be taken back stage of Radcliffe’s new Broadway show The Lifespan of Fact.
The picture is at odds with their on-screen characters: The animosity between Draco and Harry Potter is well-documented, and the Instagram picture is less like canon and more like the bromance fanfiction fans penned online (true story). And if the picture isn’t enough to warm your heart, 31-year-old Tom Felton gave it a gushy caption: ‘Go see it. He’s fantastic as per.’ One HP fan wrote: ‘I’m so happy you went to see Dan and both you guys are so happy and smiling. This warms my heart hp reunions [sic] Is what I’m living for.’
‘The muggle au [alternative universe] we’ve always wanted and needed,’ another quipped, and a third simply wrote ‘DRARRY IS REAL.’ Radcliffe is currently starring in a Broadway production called The Lifespan of Fact about a man called Jim Fingal, whose small-time fact-checking job gets big after he’s given a job to read over the work of legendary author John D’Agata. Someone needs to call a Harry Potter reunion. Earlier this year Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom met up IRL and Potter fans were here for it.
Matthew Lewis and Felton hung out in LA, and Tom had his arm wrapped around Matthew, who had captioned the Instagram post: ‘Take your Slytherin paws off me, you damn dirty ape!’ And then he later added: ‘I can’t even go for a pint without you hounding me. Can’t you have an Adidas bag like regular folk?’
