Brad Pitt has attended his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston’s birthday party in Los Angeles sending Hollywood watchers into a frenzy.

Brad Pitt has attended his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston’s birthday party in Los Angeles along with most of Hollywood’s A-list.
As we all recover from this shocking revelation, it’s worth noting that the second jaw-dropping element of this story is that Jennifer Aniston, who doesn’t seem to have aged a day in 25 years, has turned 50.
The bash was held at a favourite haunt of Aniston’s — the swanky Sunset Tower on Sunset Boulevard — and the guest list featured a veritable who’s who of Hollywood.
Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia DeRossi, Gwyneth Paltrow, George and Amal Clooney, Lisa Kudrow, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Cindy Crawford, Robert Downey Junior, Diane Keaton, David Arquette, Barbara Streisand, Jason Bateman and Kate Hudson all there to raise a glass to the birthday girl.
Aniston posed for photo booth boomerang shots with Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow, who both shared them on Instagram.
It was a rare insight into the former Friends star’s party, as the usually private Aniston doesn’t have any social media.
In a screenshot posted by Comments By Celebs Instagram account, Hudson revealed she had gotten Aniston’s permission before sharing the boomerang.
“NO SOCIAL MEDIA,” fellow guest Perry had commented on Hudson’s post.
“@katyperry got permish,” Hudson wrote back.
A good time was reportedly had by all, given Reese Witherspoon ended the night falling down the stairs, which means it was a ripping party by anyone’s estimation, even those who happen to be mega-wealthy Hollywood A-listers.
But back to Pitt. The 55-year-old actor, decked out in navy blue flat cap, tried to make a low key entrance into the exclusive shin dig but was spotted by, well, just about everyone.
Aniston meanwhile was seen wearing a backless black jumpsuit as she made a swift entrance into the venue, reports The Sun.
According to US Weekly, Aniston was “happy” her ex-husband decided to come to her party but “mostly mingled with her girlfriends”.
“Jen spoke to Brad briefly. At one point she hugged him and thanked him for coming,” an insider told the magazine.
While other guests “were surprised” to see Pitt there “it didn’t seem like that big of a deal” to the birthday girl.
“The invite went out to a ton of people and he accepted. She was happy he was there, but that was it. She was busy making the rounds and excited to see so many people near and dear to her,” the insider said.
Aniston and Pitt first met in 1998 and married in 2000 when they instantly became a Hollywood power couple.
Then Pitt met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2003, ditched Aniston, had six kids and decamped to a French chateau with the actor-turned-humanitarian.
Things went sour in 2016 when, amid reports of heavy drinking and a stoush with his son Maddox, Pitt and Jolie split.
(They’re still not officially divorced, according to reports.)
In a 2005 interview with Vanity Fair, Aniston said she was “shocked” by the breakup and was trying to “pick up the pieces in the midst of this media circus.”
She also said at the time that, with Pitt, there was “a sensitivity chip that’s missing” after he appeared pre-split in a W Magazine feature with Jolie that showed them as a 1960s married couple.
Aniston married actor Justin Theroux in August 2015 after becoming engaged in 2012. However the couple announced their separation and intention to divorce in February 2018.
Despite various reports about whether Pitt and Aniston are still friends, his appearance at her party put the rumours to bed once and for all.
