Diamonds are Gaga's best friend and she looks more than a million dollars

There was only one way to make Lady Gaga sparkle more than she usually does on the red carpet of an awards ceremony and that's by putting a $30 million (£22.9 million) rock around her neck.
The A Star Is Born actress wore one of the largest yellow diamonds in the world to the 91st Academy Awards in Los Angeles and there was as much love for her huge rock than there was for her steamy rendition of Shallow with Bradley Cooper .
The 32-year-old was more than a match for her multi-million dollar accessory, as she scooped an Oscar for Best Original Song, the same one that she performed with the A Star Is Born director.
This was the only way the jewel could be upstaged after the almost priceless 141-year-old Tiffany Diamond graced the red carpet for the first time in its history.
The last time the cushion-cut diamond was worn it was around the neck of Audrey Hepburn for the publicity photoshoot for Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Weighing in at 128.54 carats and with 82 radiant facets, it proved to be the perfect compliment to Gaga's Alexander McQueen black strapless ball gown.
Speaking about the rare diamond necklace, stylists Sandra Amador and Tom Erebout said: "The chance to work with such an amazing piece of design and history tonight is a creative dream come true.
"There are so many beautiful jewels in the world, but the radiant Tiffany Diamond is truly exceptional, which is just so fitting for Lady Gaga."
They were not the only one that was happy to see Lady Gaga rocking the diamond, with Tiffany & Co chief artistic officer, Reed Krakoff, saying: "Lady Gaga is the ultimate creator, innovator and rule breaker."
She certainly wears a $30 million necklace well even if it didn't propel her to more than the one Oscar win on the night.
