French Billionaire, François-Henri Pinault who is also the husband of acclaimed actress, Salma Hayek has promised to donate 100 million euros for the restoration of Notre Dame, Paris.

Notre Dame, the most famous cathedral in Paris was engulfed with fire on Monday night. The cathedral has suffered massive damage.
The world is currently in shock and mourning the loss of the gorgeous Notre Dame.

According to a report from AFP, François-Henri Pinault said, "My father (François Pinault) and I have decided to release from now on the funds of Artemis a sum of 100 million euros to participating in the effort that will be necessary for the complete reconstruction of Notre Dame."
François-Henri Pinault, the husband of acclaimed actress Salma Hayek is the CEO and chair of the international luxury group Kering.
Kering is the parent company of luxury brands like Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. He is also the president of Groupe Artemis, a French holding company that owns Christie's, a fine arts auction house.
French President, Emmanuel Macaron made a statement that he will start a national fundraising campaign to restore the cathedral. Seems like the funding just got a kick start.
Notre Dame was going under renovations and it is believed to be the reason behind the fire.
The fire, after burning for about eight hours, was largely extinguished by 3 am CET (6.30 am IST) on Tuesday. The firefighters tried to rescue religious relics and priceless artwork. One fireman was seriously injured. It is the only reported casualty in the incident. The firefighters managed to save the main bell towers and outer walls from collapse before bringing the blaze under control.
